A good community blog should include both primary and secondary members that contribute regularly. It should also be informative and easily accessible. Our group seeks to create a vibrant community where we can both practice our Japanese and learn about the best restaurants in NYC (or in the world!)
We will blog about the restaurants where we have eaten lately, and will urge the secondary members of our group to do the same. The four of us, however, will be primarily responsible for the upkeep of the blog. Group members can comment on how the restaurant's food/ambiance sounds, whether they have been there or want to go, etc. They can also review or recommend certain places to eat. For example, on of our first posts will probably be about Restaurant Week! The ultimate goal of our blog is to provide a great and unique resource to our class (and even to Japanese tourists in NYC!)

We will step by step write down a detailed and reasonable plan of traveling in spring break and summer break through this semester. Each of us would pick up an potential interesting place and illustrate reason. Then we shall start a part to make a final decision by comparing several decisive elements, which will be in brief but convincing. After confirm the destination we are heading to, each of us will be in charge of one aspect, like the weather, hotel, routine and local history or something else. We will look up some books, ask for some advice, collect data from internet, etc. In sum, we will pay efforts to make it effectively enhance our Japanese ability as well as really show up to be a perfect travel plan. Maybe we shall really go there.

Our community blog will be focusing on foreign movies relating to East Asian countries, starting with Japan. We will use the blog to bring these to a wider audience, and perhaps get them interested in good films or steer them away from bad ones. Each member will watch an
agreed upon movie, either a classic or from contemporary cinema, then
do some research into the director, audience reaction, remakes and
anything else that is interesting. By starting with Japanese films, we
will be able to indirectly study Japanese culture and get more interest from everyone else who is studying the language. For our homepage, we will include pictures from the film, a link to its website and our different opinions and insights about it.

This community blog will focus on different genres of music whose artists we think will attract the attention of our readers. We will include music that is both well-known and not so well-known. Blog writers will take turns posting once or twice per week stories or announcements about his or her favorite singer, group, composer, etc. Photos and links to music and video files will also be provided so as to establish an interactive space for the blog reader as well.
This community blog will focus on a wide variety of music from all over the globe and bring to readers information about what is popular in today's Japanese music industry.
Community blog writers will manage the blog on a weekly basis. The layout of the blog will be a simple one that is easily navigable for the blog reader. The blog will also provide links to interesting and helpful sites related to music in general.

We don't really have a group leader but we will be working together to create an anime community that highlights the reasons why we like this Japanese artform.

We are making a video game community blog. We will make it a type of recent news/updating blog where the hottest news about video games are posted. We'll get new information through official websites and word of mouth from thugs in the video gaming world. Those WOW otaku. All members will post upon their earliest convenience upon discovering anything interesting. I suppose we should also post reviews about anything we deem worthy of praise or the despicable opposite. Maybe we can try to mimic Zero Punctuation.
Tennis blog
Anyone can join our blog and participate. The blog is primarily about tennis, but if anyone feels the scope is too limiting, they can go out of their way and write about other things, although I would really like it better if it had to do with tennis.
Out group doesn't have a group leader chosen, so I just went ahead and created the blog. We have thought about a system where everyone blogs about his or her favorite player, as well as of course, their least favorite player.
Videos and images are very much encouraged, and inclusion of Japanese element will perfect the content I believe.
The major focus, if there is any, will be on major tournaments that takes place around the world, but personal experience is also welcome.
In terms of management, any flagrant use of language or hateful posts will be deleted after co-deliberation with the members. If such behavior continues, it will be reported to the master administrator, that is, Sensei.
Thank you.

Our community blog will be about films - notable, obscure, or otherwise. Since mainstream Hollywood productions already receive plenty of attention, our general goal will be to discuss lesser-known films. This is a difficult goal on two levels. Now that we are in the midst of the internet age, obscure movies are often considered the most relevant by people "in the know", so it's unlikely that we'll be able to offer truly 'fresh' content. And although we are all students, we are not film majors - we're simply not going to have time to peruse world cinema at our leisure.
But there are certain advantages to setting up the blog in a community format. Our readers will hopefully be able to give some direction by offering us movie suggestions. And since each of us will be concentrating on a specific genre of interest, our task should be made less daunting.
In fact, there is already proof that our aim is difficult but not impossible. See David's recent post on "The New World" here: http://davidcujapanese.blogspot.com/.
Jesse, Johnny, Ryan:
Cycling - Music
Our blog will be an exploration of cities by bicycle and the music we enjoy while doing it.
Regular contributions by primary members detailing their bicycle adventures will comprise most of the blog, but secondary members are encouraged to contribute as well.
Stories, images and musical selections will be the primary content of the postings.
Stephanie, Lindsay, and Asad
Our blog will be a multimedia experience featuring Japanese movies, old and new, animated and live-action. We hope to discuss both well-known movies and discover new Japanese cinema, as well as let members of the blog community know about screening events around the city of New York. Members of this blog group will post clips from Japanese movies and make brief commentary with the hope of interesting other members of the blog community in watching the films we feature.
Our URL is mimashoo.blogspot.com
Enjoy!

A good blog needs interactive content.
Japanese TV community
We will blog about Japanese TV in such a way to educate our viewers about different kinds of TV shows with video clips from YouTube and short introductions to explain the shows. We will keep the blog up together and post about different subjects based on our own interests.

A good community blog is a blog that keeps the readers engaged and wanting more (cliffhangers are a necessity).
In order to provide material for our blog, we will explore various いざかや.
We will treat this blog as an amateur Zagat's review, i.e. we will comment on the various aspects of the dining experience, such as atmosphere, food, accessibility, price, and service.
Jane, Tracy, Doran, Jee In
A good community blog should attempt to incorporate primary sources along with secondary sources (making sure that they are credible sources). It should be accessible, fun, and easy to understand. Our group seek to spread more awareness on Japanese music genres by focusing primarily on Japanese singers (by listening to their music and comparing them to music that we regularly listen to). Each week, we will switch off and comment and/or introduce Japanese artists of a particular genre.
Our group members are: David, Brian, Li, and David is our group leader
This group blog will be updated every two weeks. One member will be responsible for drafting each post, the other two will be responsible for editing and proofreading. Our sources include Wikipedia, books, journals, etc.
Each week the author will choose a specific topic but all topics do not necessarily relate to each other. This is so that we can introduce a wide variety of topics.
